It is with a heavy heart, that we
have lost our founder of Fat Albert’s: Ralph Tannis. He
has passed away only recently and his funeral will be
on Saturday. We hope you join us in passing on your
thoughts and respect to his loved ones during this time.
About Us
The first Fat Albert’s (submarine shop) was opened in 1969. Ralph Tannis wanted to bring something a little bit different to the people of Ottawa. About 10 years later Ralph’s Neighborhood Sports Bar was created. We have evolved over the last 50 years, but we have kept the same delicious subs and the warm and welcoming environment you have come to love.
